Chapter 1: Preparation and Harvest
The harvest season has arrived and two sisters, Linh and Mai, are preparing for this important job. They get up early in the morning to take advantage of the daylight. Together, the two examined the tools: a knife, a shovel, and a basket of tapioca roots. They also prepare some drinks and snacks to recharge during the workday.
Their garden grows cassava is large and green. Linh and Mai choose cassava plants that are mature enough, when the leaves have begun to turn yellow and the tubers in the ground have grown. They begin their work by carefully digging around the stump with a shovel, then using their hands to pull the cassava root out of the ground. The work is quite strenuous, but enthusiasm and teamwork help them get through.
After harvesting, they put the cassava tubers in baskets and sort them: the large and beautiful tubers will be sold, while the smaller ones will be left to be processed into home dishes or used as feed for livestock.
Chapter 2: Preparing to Bring to Market
After harvesting, Linh and Mai began to clean the tapioca. They wash off the soil and cut off the parts that are no longer fresh. Next, they put the tubers in baskets and prepared them for the trip to the market. They also prepare some samples of processed cassava such as fried cassava to introduce more to customers.
Chapter 3: Going to the Market and Selling
Early in the morning, the two sisters pushed a truck to the market. They chose a convenient booth, near a crowded area. After arranging the tapioca neatly and beautifully on the table, Linh and Mai began to wait for customers.
While Mai invited customers to taste dishes made from tapioca, Linh introduced the quality and benefits of the product. They take advantage of stories about the origin of tapioca and traditional dishes to attract interest.
Customers gradually start to stop and ask about the product. The sisters' dedication and friendly attitude made a good impression, and their tapioca was gradually sold out. Not only do they sell their products, but they also receive praise and support from the community.
Chapter 4: End of Working Day
At the end of the day, Linh and Mai cleaned the booth and collected the rest. They feel satisfied with their work and are happy to see the smiles on their customers' faces. Back home, the two sisters work together to assess the working day and plan for the next harvest.
That day was not only a hard day of work, but also a meaningful day, when the two sisters worked together and created joy for the community.
